Reference Department
The Mission of the Reference Department is to provide research assistance primarily to the University of San Diego community, and secondarily to those who come to use the resources of Copley Library.
The Reference Department is located on the main floor of Copley Library, across from the Access Services desk. Reference librarians provide research assistance to students by helping them formulate research strategies and locate suitable information resources, and they offer instruction in the use of all library resources, whether print, electronic, microform or audio-visual.
The Reference Department of Copley Library is comprised of five FTE enthusiastic reference librarians with expertise in a number of subject areas. They staff the Reference Desk on the main floor of Copley Library during the busiest library hours. They are also available for one-on-one research consultation by appointment.
